Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine partners to give away tickets for community heroes; teammates

Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine found a unique way to pay it forward and be Difference Makers by finding a way to give back to their own team members AND the community. Double giveback!

Through a partnership with some of their top-tier local entertainment centers, the location gets a certain number of tickets to performances at these venues throughout the year that they gift to their team members, allowing them to enjoy performances by acclaimed artists such as The Lumineers, Nickelback, Kane Brown, Dave Matthews Band, and many others.

In April of this year, Greater Maine expanded on this idea and launched a program called Tickets for Heroes. Through this program, the location extends their gratitude to their local heroes (first responders, medical professionals, teachers, police, veterans, and active military personnel in the community) by gifting them with some of their tickets.

“This initiative holds a special place in the heart of Renewal of Greater Maine,” says Kaylee Wiken, Marketing Director for Greater Maine. “Every day, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for the privilege of working for a company that dedicates itself wholeheartedly to making a profound difference in the lives of our community's heroes. Witnessing this commitment is nothing short of inspiring!”

But the giving doesn’t stop there. This summer, the team took their new program a step further. They headed out to their local veterans home for a “Grilling and Grooving” event – a cookout and live band – as a thank you for these veteran heroes’ service. The team arranged canopies to provide the veterans with shade and set up right in the parking lot so residents could easily come and go or pop back into their rooms if they needed a quick break from the sun and noise.

“The Tickets for Heroes initiative at RbA of Greater Maine is a passion project close to our hearts,” Wiken says. “And it's a commitment we're determined to nurture and expand with each passing year. I'm eagerly anticipating the opportunity to witness just how monumental we can make this program grow!”
