Fueling Hope
Renewal by Andersen of Boston spends the day giving back to their community.
We know our Renewal by Andersen teams love to make a difference with hands-on initiatives, and the Boston team recently showcased that spirit in an impactful way. At the end of March, the Boston team partnered with Pine Street Inn, a local organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, for a day of service.
A crew of volunteers from Renewal by Andersen of Boston served alongside Pine Street Inn’s culinary trainees to prepare meals for shelter guests. Pine Street Inn provides housing, shelter, and workforce development programs to empower those in need, and the Boston team was thrilled to contribute to their mission.
The team got busy in the kitchen, chopping mushrooms, peppers, onions, and potatoes to prepare a hearty soup to serve 300-500 people for the weekend. It was a true team effort, filled with collaboration, laughter, and even a few onion-induced tears!
After meal prep, the volunteers toured Pine Street Inn’s facilities, gaining insight into the organization’s life-changing programs. The team heard inspiring stories of transformation, including one program graduate who now works in a prestigious restaurant—a testament to the life-changing outcomes Pine Street Inn makes possible and the difference serving this organization can make.
